Hello! And thanks for visiting! To start, my name is Jill Singletary, and I hail from Abilene, Texas. I'm also known as Ace or the Acetress, but that's a story in itself. I graduated in December of 2008 from Hardin-Simmons University with a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design, and currently work as a photo-retoucher/assistant at a local photography studio. It seems like I've been drawing ever since I can remember. I was inspired early on by cartoons and comics, and with my discovery of Anime (Japanese animation), my love of the figure began to emerge. With more experience in figure drawing, I began to develop my own style. I love drawing people a lot, from portraits to cartoons. I even write and design short fiction stories, comics, and animations with my own characters (i.e. the aformationed Ace). |

I'm also very inspired by music, and I often base my work on or incorporate lyrics into my work--especially those of the Alan Parsons Project. If there are two things I can't live without, it's art and music.
